Comparing photos with professionals

To the left is the non-professional version taken for the exhibition section of the blog. Below is the professional version of the same car. I think the professional is a better photo in general as it has a much better background, much better lighting and has lots of contrasting colours in it.Whereas the non-professional has poor lighting and background. Others also prefer the second for the same reasons.

To the left is the non-professional photo taken for the concept section of the blog. The one below is taken professionally. Personally I think the one to the left is a better photo than the one below because it has more aspects to the photo. Others thought that the one on the left was better, however they also thought that the one on the left needed more colour in the image.

The photo on the left is the non-professional taken for the concept section of the blog. The photo below is a professional photo and I think it's better than the one I took, this is because the birds on the one below are closer and in more detail, also the background is better as it has more aspects to it, such as the pole, the roof and the sign in the background.

Taking photographic images for a specific purpose

Exhibition:
The subject of this was the front and side of the car. I took the image as part of an exhibition. The photo focuses on the main image as the center of the image. The elements of this photo that make it good are the fact that the colours on the car are a contrast. The photo could be improved if the background was a  blank canvas such as if it was a white or black studio. Some people thought that the photo was good, however others thought the photo was not as good.

The subject of this photo was the brick wall and the hole in the roof. I took the picture because it was part of the concept section. The photo focuses on the wall because that is the only area that has colour whereas the rest is in black and white. The elements of design that make the picture work are the colour on the one section of the photo and the ceiling tile pushed up so that a gap has been created. The photo could be improved by having a much wider shot of the area as this would create a larger canvas. People thought this photo was both good and bad they thought the colour against the black was good however they thought the photo could have had a bigger canvas.
The subject of this photo was the bird on top of the building, however I chose to put the bird and building in black and white with the green separating them as i think this makes it work well and improves focus on the main aspect of the picture. As previously the elements that make this photo good are the the black and white on colour aspects of the photo. The photo cold be improved by having a closer shot of the building. People thought this was good as it again had the colour against dark ratio, however they thought it could be better if a closer shot of the bird was used.

Adjusting images

This is the original image.

This is the edited image. I used the plastic wrap filter to edit. I think this image is improved as it adds texture and detail to the image.
This is the original image.

This is the edited image, i edited it by using the black and white adjustments and the sketch filter. I think this image is improved as it creates patterns.

Wide angle shots

I took this picture in the hope that it would show good colours. This image has lots of different colours in it, there are many different colours in this image such as the red bricks, the green of the grass, the grey of the gravel and the cream and the blue paint on the walls.

This picture shows patterns. the bricks make a continuous pattern across the building.

There are lots of different textures in this image. The grey ground as a rough texture and the grass has a soft texture whilst the building has a hard rough texture.

This picture represents lines. The windows along the front of the building create lines and perspective.
